Wendy Gerstmann Powell joined the firm as Special Counsel in 2004. She brings to the firm a wealth of experience as a white-collar criminal and civil litigator and appellate advocate. Mrs. Powell represents clients in criminal, regulatory and civil matters.

Education and Experience

A 1991 graduate of Clark University, Mrs. Powell graduated cum laude from Brooklyn Law School in 1994 where she was Executive Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law and a member of the Brooklyn Moot Court Honor Society.

She clerked for the Honorable Maryanne Trump Barry, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Honorable Harold A. Ackerman, U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey, and the Honorable Joan M. Azrack, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York. She served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of New York. She was previously associated with Kevin H. Marino, P.C. and Skadden LLP.

Mrs. Powell is admitted to practice in New York (1994), New Jersey (1995) and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and New Jersey.
